Personal Training Director

About This Role

This full-time, on-site role oversees all aspects of the personal training department at a Crunch Fitness location. The director manages and mentors personal trainers, schedules sessions, and ensures high-quality training programs that align with Crunch Fitness standards. The role is responsible for driving personal training revenue, maintaining high member engagement and retention, and monitoring performance metrics for the training team.

Responsibilities

• Coach staff on program design and customer service
• Conduct member consultations and fitness assessments
• Develop group training and specialty programs
• Collaborate with club leadership on marketing and promotions
• Maintain an active presence on the training floor
• Ensure clear communication with members and staff
• Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and brand guidelines

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in Personal Training and Training, including designing and delivering safe, effective, and goal-oriented fitness programs
• Experience leading or coordinating Group Training sessions and group fitness programs to enhance member engagement and participation
• Certified or eligible for certification through the U.S. National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) or an equivalent nationally recognized organization
• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to build rapport, address concerns, and create a welcoming, results-focused environment
• Previous leadership or management experience in a fitness or health club setting, including supervising and developing training staff
• Solid knowledge of exercise science, program periodization, and safe training techniques for diverse populations and fitness levels
• Effective communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-energy environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including peak club hours, evenings, and weekends as needed
• CPR/AED certification and commitment to maintaining all required professional credentials
