Zimmerman Workshop is seeking a Project Architect with an interest in interior design and at least four years of professional experience.
We are an award-winning boutique design firm with a diverse and growing portfolio. Our projects range from renovations and new buildings to custom interior design solutions, product design, and fabrication. We have several exciting new projects in development and under construction, and we are looking for a colleague who can bring creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm, and superb technical skills to our small but active team.
About The Role You will conduct research, develop ideas, sketch, model, and collaborate with the design team and principals. You will be expected to contribute to and lead multiple projects simultaneously, so excellent communication and project management skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture
- Four to five years of full-time professional experience after graduation
- Experience or demonstrated interest in interior design
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and Rhino
- Proficiency in 3ds Max and Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability and desire to work in a collaborative small-office setting
- Ability to research, brainstorm, sketch, model, and collaborate
- Experience with construction documentation
- Experience working in New York City on projects located in New York City
