About This Role

Working carefully and keeping a tidy warehouse will fit well in the logistics team. This role focuses on providing community-based mentoring services for youth aged 10-21, with an emphasis on building confidence, fostering healthy connections, personal growth, and expanding access to enriching opportunities. The position requires a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, enroll, and engage 20 youth participants through intake screenings, assessments, and completion of required consent forms
• Serve as the primary case manager for 20 youth by assessing needs, developing service plans, and connecting participants to appropriate internal and external resources
• Build and maintain strong relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners to support positive youth development
• Provide case management services, including advocacy, home visits, telephone follow-up, written correspondence, referrals, and coordination of services with community providers
• Serve as a trusted mentor and positive role model by providing guidance, encouragement, and emotional support to youth
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including case notes, outcome measures, and all required program data
• Plan, coordinate, promote, and facilitate at least one youth-focused event or outing each quarter that encourages leadership, personal growth, life skills, and positive social engagement
• Collaborate with BPNC staff and departments to ensure youth and families receive comprehensive services and make referrals within the agency as appropriate
• Represent BPNC by participating in coalition meetings, community events, and collaborative initiatives, and provide technical assistance to community partners when appropriate
• Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for youth in community-based settings while demonstrating flexibility and creativity in service delivery
• Maintain positive and respectful relationships with youth, families, community partners, and agency staff
• Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, trainings, and professional development activities
• Comply with all agency policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards of ethics
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience mentoring youth
• Over 24 years of age
• Required bilingual in Spanish
• Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
• Available evenings and weekends
• 1 year of mentoring experience (Required)
• English/Spanish language (Required)
