At Alpha, academic instruction takes place during a two-hour morning block using adaptive learning platforms. This structure allows you to dedicate your energy to what drives long-term impact: coaching students toward independent learning while cultivating the Guides who enable that transformation. You will be accountable for a cohort of K-3 students, relying on data, direct observation, and coaching to ensure each child thrives academically, learns at double the typical pace, and builds strong life skills.

This role is neither an instructional coaching position nor a traditional principal assignment. Your time will not be consumed by administrative meetings or documentation. Instead, you will spend your days in classrooms observing and analyzing the performance of both students and Guides, leading workshops on themes like communication, focus, resilience, and accountability, and providing targeted coaching to drive measurable progress in both children and adults.

What You Will Be Doing

• Use performance data, classroom observation, and targeted feedback to coach Guides and students toward measurable progress.
• Design and lead interactive workshops for K-3 students on life skills including communication, focus, resilience, collaboration, and accountability.
• Conduct individual and small-group coaching that links student motivation to academic independence and growth.
• Develop and iterate on replicable coaching frameworks that elevate Guide team performance.
• Mentor and train Guides while consistently modeling excellent coaching and facilitation practices.

• Teaching traditional lessons or delivering academic content; adaptive technology manages core instruction.
• Resorting to punitive discipline or reducing standards when students encounter difficulties.
• Operating from an office rather than engaging directly with students and Guides daily.
• Overseeing campus operations, financial planning, or parent outreach; your priority is talent development and outcome improvement.
• Adhering to conventional elementary education methods simply because they are familiar or longstanding.

Basic Requirements

• Available to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Miami, FL or New York City, NY; relocation assistance is available
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Business, Child Development, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years working with elementary-aged children (approximately ages 5-9).
• Track record leading teams of five or more, including responsibility for performance management and hiring.
• Experience building, launching, or scaling a program, school, team, or initiative rather than simply managing an established one.
• Proven ability to leverage data and measurable outcomes to enhance team or student performance.
• Enthusiastic about challenging traditional education structures and adopting a coaching-centered model.
• Authorized to work legally in the United States.

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Familiarity with dashboards, analytics, or performance metrics to support ongoing improvement.
• History of coaching adults to achieve measurable performance gains.
• Experience in youth development, competitive coaching, enrichment programs, camps, or other high-accountability settings.
• Confident public speaking and facilitation abilities with young learners.

Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
