Yoga Instructor

About This Role

This role involves developing and conducting group yoga sessions for clients in an inpatient detox and residential treatment facility. The instructor will model yoga positions, breathing, stretches, and mindfulness techniques, creating an engaging and therapeutic atmosphere to support recovery skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct group yoga sessions
• Model yoga positions, breathing, stretches, and mindfulness techniques
• Create an engaging, therapeutic atmosphere conducive to the development of recovery skills
• Encourage clients to engage, cultivating mindfulness and self-love, awareness, and control
• Collaborate with the extended clinical team to track client progress and ensure coordination of care
• Maintain complete documentation of all sessions conducted, and client challenges and progress
• Model all recovery principles such as honesty, integrity, and compassion in all client interactions

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Minimum one year experience in the treatment industry preferred
• Valid yoga instruction certification
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
• Strong flexibility, collaboration, and motivational skills
