XL Warehouse Associate

About This Role

Working with your teammates to handle large and bulky customer orders, such as big-screen TVs, furniture, and appliances, is the core of this warehouse associate role. The position involves hands-on item handling and preparing them for delivery.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and move heavy and bulky inventory
• Load boxes into trucks for shipment
• Use technology such as computers and smartphones
• View prompts on screens and follow directions for some tasks

Requirements

• Be 18 years or older
• Understand and follow instructions in the required language
• Lift up to 49 pounds
• Use safe practices and methods to handle products heavier than 50 pounds, using multiple techniques including team lift
• Stand and walk, as well as push, pull, squat, bend, and reach frequently during shifts
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
• Go up and down stairs (where applicable)

Important Details

• Shift Options: Overnight, Early Morning, and Daytime
• Weekly Hours: Full-Time (40 hours), Reduced-Time (30-39 hours), Part-Time (20-29 hours), or Flex-Time (as little as 4 hours per week)
• Schedule Flexibility: Fixed weekly schedule or Flexible schedules
• Work-Life Balance: 3-day weekends available on select shifts, with opportunities for overtime when available
• Temperature: Climate-controlled facilities maintain temperatures between 60°F and 90°F in most areas
• Noise level: Can get noisy at times; hearing protection provided if needed
• Dress code: Dress comfortably, closed-toe shoes required; protective safety footwear required in select areas
