Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain workplace safety and health (WSH) management systems on site.
- Administer permit-to-work processes and address unsafe work activities.
- Coordinate and facilitate WSH committee meetings with project teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with WSH regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct site safety inspections and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and dangerous occurrences, and implement improvement measures.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities on safety, environmental, and compliance matters.
- Deliver safety training, awareness programmes, and promotional activities.
- Maintain safety documentation and support regulatory and ISO audits.
- Participate in risk assessments, safety planning, and management programme reviews.
- Monitor and coordinate subcontractor safety and health performance.
- Manage environmental control programmes and environmental health compliance on site.
- Inspect environmental health facilities and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Support disease outbreak investigations and environmental health improvement initiatives.
- Assist with worker administration, including training, medical reporting, home leave, and accommodation matters.
- Support the achievement of project-specific safety objectives and standards.
- Participate in safety planning for works conducted in public-facing or shared-use areas.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and environmental management within the construction industry.
- Valid registration with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
- Valid registration with the National Environment Agency (NEA) as an Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems is an added advantage.
- Experience in conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety training programmes.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
