Company Description The Youth of Tomorrow Model United Nations is a student-focused initiative that provides a platform for young people to engage with global issues, diplomacy, and leadership. Based in Mumbai, the organization hosts conferences and activities that simulate the workings of the United Nations, encouraging critical thinking and public speaking. Participants collaborate to debate international challenges, draft resolutions, and explore diverse perspectives. The organization aims to cultivate informed, confident, and socially aware youth who can contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Role Description The Writer role is a volunteer, remote position based in Mumbai. The Writer will develop clear, engaging written content such as event summaries, committee guides, reports, press releases, and promotional materials that reflect the vision and activities of The Youth of Tomorrow Model United Nations. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and revising documents, collaborating with organizers and other team members to gather information, and ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with organizational messaging. The Writer may also contribute to social media posts, newsletters, and website content, and support the documentation of conferences and workshops through timely written coverage. This role involves working closely with multiple teams, attending meetings and events as needed, and meeting agreed deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured content for diverse audiences.
• Ability to research topics related to international relations, youth issues, and Model UN to create accurate and informative materials.
• Good command of English grammar, spelling, and style, with attention to detail and consistency.
• Interest in global affairs, diplomacy, and youth engagement, preferably with prior exposure to Model UN or similar activities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with organizers, delegates, and other volunteers on-site.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a proven capacity to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
• Comfort working in an on-site, event-focused environment in Mumbai, including availability during key conference dates.
• Educational background or ongoing studies in fields such as English, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, or related disciplines is an advantage, but not mandatory.
