Wound Nurse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Nurse to join our team at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Patuxent River, a state-of-the-art nursing center located just minutes from the University of Maryland Laurel Medical Center. As a Wound Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality wound care services to our residents, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes and improved quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care treatment plans for residents with complex wounds
- Conduct regular wound assessments and document findings accurately and thoroughly
- Develop and implement individualized wound care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize wound care outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of wound care treatments and resident progress
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of Maryland
- 1+ year of experience as a Wound Nurse or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of wound care principles and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
