Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP US & Canada Payroll, Tax & Benefits Consultant to support and enhance SAP HCM / SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) environments. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and configuration experience in US and Canadian payroll, payroll taxation, benefits administration, and payroll integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and support SAP Payroll (PY) for US & Canada
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing including:
- Payroll runs
- Off-cycle payrolls
- Retro calculations
- Payroll posting
- Tax reconciliation
- Configure and support:
- Wage types
- Schemas
- PCRs
- Tax models
- Garnishments
- Benefits deductions
- Support US & Canada payroll tax compliance including:
- Federal, State, Provincial taxes
- W-2 / W-2c
- T4 processing
- Year-end activities
- Work with third-party vendors such as:
- BSI Tax Factory
- ADP
- Benefits providers
- Time systems
- Handle payroll integrations, interfaces, IDocs, APIs, and payroll posting to Finance (FI)
- Support Benefits (BN) configuration including eligibility, enrollment, deductions, and employer contributions
- Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, testing, UAT, and production support
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and technical teams
- Support SAP upgrades, support packs, legal changes, and payroll compliance updates
Required Skills
- 7+ years of SAP HCM / SAP Payroll experience
- Strong experience with:
- US Payroll
- Canada Payroll
- Payroll Taxation
- Benefits Administration
- Hands-on experience with:
- Schemas
- PCRs
- Wage Types
- Infotypes
- Payroll Posting
- Garnishments
- Experience with SAP HCM ECC and/or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
- Strong knowledge of BSI Tax Factory and payroll tax updates
- Experience integrating payroll with third-party tax and benefits vendors
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of payroll compliance and year-end processing
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Skills
- SAP SuccessFactors ECP Certification
- Experience with SAP CPI integrations
- Experience with Payroll Control Center (PCC)
- Exposure to Time Management and Benefits modules
- SAP S/4HANA Payroll experience
- Experience in multi-country payroll implementations
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
