Responsibilities:

• Independently consults with external clients and participates in all stages of the Workday Adaptive Planning project lifecycle, from planning and design phases through testing and deployment by developing solutions to complex planning and performance management challenges across multiple domains or clients.

• Effectively leads small to medium client deliverables from start to finish across multiple, concurrent projects utilizing company quality standards and consulting methodology.

• Lead and facilitate solution architecture workshops for Adaptive Planning including model design, planning processes, budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, reporting, security, dimensions, levels, versions, and planning workflows.

• Integrates with other areas across the organization and functions to provide a complete Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution.

• Consults on the impact of planning model decisions on downstream reporting, integrations, financial consolidation, operational planning, and post-implementation support.

• Manages self and team member(s) work to project scope, timeline, risk, and budget. Coordinates with others when applicable.

• Listens to client requests, assesses actual client needs, provides subject matter expertise, proposes alternatives, and recommends solution(s). Depending on project scope, may coach team members to execute the same.

• Expertise in configuring Adaptive Planning models including dimensions, levels, versions, accounts, assumptions, model sheets, cube sheets, standard sheets, allocations, dashboards, OfficeConnect reporting, security, workflows, and planning processes.

• Conduct design workshop sessions and conference room pilots at client locations.

• Responsible for delivering allocated work in all stages of the Workday Adaptive Planning deployment lifecycle, from planning and design phases through configuration, testing, go-live, and post-production support. These activities include, but are not limited to:

· Conduct sessions to analyze customer planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.

· Provide implementation approach and facilitate future design workshops.

· Prepare project documentation including Functional Design Documents, Solution Design Documents, Configuration Documents, and Planning Model Documentation.

· Configure Adaptive Planning models for demonstrations, prototypes, testing, and production deployment.

· Build planning models including workforce planning, revenue planning, expense planning, capital planning, project planning, cash flow planning, and long-range planning.

· Configure dimensions, levels, versions, assumptions, accounts, planning sheets, allocations, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting structures.

· Design and develop OfficeConnect reports, dashboards, scorecards, variance analysis, and executive reporting.

· Prepare unit test scripts and user acceptance test scripts.

· Perform unit testing and monitor user acceptance testing activities.

· Support data validation, reconciliation, and planning model verification.

· Support customers during production and post-go-live stabilization.

· Become an expert in the Workday Adaptive Planning product suite while continuously deepening expertise in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).

· Follow Workday Implementation methodologies consistently across all projects.

· Communicate complex planning and financial modeling concepts in a clear and simple manner.

· Demonstrate the ability to prioritize conflicting demands with minimal supervision.

· Identify, understand, and manage relationships with stakeholders including Engagement Managers, Financials teams, Integrations, Data Conversion teams, customer stakeholders, and Workday.

· Embrace collaborative partnerships with clients and internal teams.

· Develop strong working relationships with project teams, management, and clients.

· Work collaboratively with Integrations and Data Conversion teams to deliver complete planning solutions.

· Formulate budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, reporting, and performance management strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Economics, or related discipline.

• Workday Adaptive Planning Certification at the time of hire, as well as ongoing successful re-certification, is a requirement of the role.

• Proven consultative skills to guide client and internal discussions toward practical planning solutions in a timely manner.

• Experience implementing complex planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytics solutions under multiple deadlines.

• Ability to effectively engage across multiple concurrent projects.

• Able to prioritize and organize increasingly complex work while ensuring overall timeliness and quality standards.

• Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting planning model and reporting issues, and escalates when appropriate.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including clear articulation of complex financial planning concepts and business requirements.

• Experienced in managing large, diverse consulting teams.

• Demonstrated commitment to delivery excellence and client satisfaction.

• Proven experience demonstrating initiative and curiosity to build expertise across Workday Financials, Adaptive Planning, and related Workday products through available training and Workday documentation.

Work Experience

• 4–5 years of relevant Workday Adaptive Planning, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Planning Systems implementation experience required.

• 12+ years of overall professional experience.

• Workday Adaptive Planning implementation experience preferred.

• Previous consulting experience preferred either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization implementing Enterprise Performance Management or ERP planning solutions (e.g., Oracle EPM, Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP BPC, IBM Planning Analytics, OneStream).

• Experience defining enterprise planning strategy, budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, reporting, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.

• Deep knowledge of Enterprise Performance Management and financial planning processes.

• Preferred functional expertise includes Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Budgeting and Forecasting, Workforce Planning, Revenue Planning, Expense Planning, Capital Planning, Project Planning, Cash Flow Planning, Long-Range Planning, Scenario Modeling and What-if Analysis, Management Reporting and Dashboards, OfficeConnect Reporting, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Workday Financials Integration
