About This Role
This role is for an experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on both custom WordPress and full stack web application development. The work involves ensuring high standards of performance, security, scalability, and maintainable code. The ideal candidate will be available to start immediately.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins
- Build and maintain full stack web applications, handling both backend and frontend development
- Design and manage databases, backend logic, and server-side functionality
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services
- Implement responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces
- Ensure applications and websites meet high standards for performance, security, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
- Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable digital solutions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with strong WordPress and Webflow expertise
- Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL
- Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Solid backend development experience, including server-side logic, database design and optimisation, and API development and integration
- Frontend development experience using modern JavaScript practices
- Familiarity with WordPress builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, performance optimisation, and security best practices
- Experience using Git and structured development workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Nice to have:
- Experience with React, Vue, or similar frameworks
- Experience with Laravel or other PHP frameworks
- Experience with Node.js or modern JavaScript backends
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications on cloud or VPS environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, staging environments, and deployment workflows
- Experience working in an agency or multi-project environment
