About This Role
This full-time agency internship is for a dedicated WordPress Developer Intern to join a core team, working hands-on with real client projects. It suits a candidate with a foundational understanding of web development who is looking for a path to a permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team and meet with clients to discuss website design, function, and requirements
- Design, build, and manage the front-end and back-end of WordPress websites
- Convert XD/Figma designs into fully responsive, live WordPress sites
- Plan and create website architecture, including database and basic server integrations
- Develop, customize, and generate WordPress themes and plugins
- Conduct website performance tests, debug errors, and troubleshoot content issues
Requirements
- Strong "go-getter" attitude and the capability to research, troubleshoot, and find solutions to technical problems independently
- Practical understanding of AI coding tools (like Claude, ChatGPT, Codex)
- Genuine desire to continuously explore and integrate future AI technologies to make coding and problem-solving more efficient
- Solid working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Excellent communication skills for seamless internal team collaboration and client discussions
- Experience in theme development, customization, and working with debugging tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field
- Understanding of WordPress and Cpanel
- Open to working a 6 months full time internship
Nice to have:
- Basic knowledge or understanding of other CMS platforms like Shopify or Magento
