About This Role
This developer role focuses on building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both frontend and backend development, WordPress themes and plugins, and responsive web design, and will be capable of delivering user-friendly web solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites
- Create responsive and user-friendly website layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins according to project requirements
- Build and manage website pages using Elementor or similar page builders
- Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL to implement website functionality
- Optimize website speed, performance, and loading time
- Identify and resolve website errors, bugs, and technical issues
- Implement basic on-page SEO practices and website optimization techniques
- Ensure website security, regular maintenance, and data protection
- Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and external tools when required
- Maintain cross-browser compatibility and responsive functionality
- Collaborate with designers and other team members to complete projects on time
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in WordPress development
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Good understanding of PHP and MySQL
- Hands-on experience with WordPress CMS
- Experience with Elementor or other WordPress page builders
- Knowledge of WordPress theme and plugin customization
- Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Basic knowledge of SEO and website performance optimization
- Problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and time-management skills
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Git, custom plugin development, API integration, and website security practices
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant practical experience and technical skills are encouraged to apply.
