About This Role

This role is for a Wind Turbine Technician to join the Gemini Energy Services team, focusing on the operations and maintenance of wind turbines. The position involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical components, and it suits safety-focused individuals with strong mechanical and electrical skills who are able to travel within Texas.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbines
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of wind turbines

Requirements

• Proof of Wind Technician Certification from an accredited Wind Academy or equivalent Trade School (if entry-level)
• Ability to travel for in-state site work, training, and company functions up to 50%
• Excellent electrical and mechanical skills
• Knowledge of turbine-related machinery and tools, including design, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, work instructions, and manuals
• Capable of lifting 40-100 lbs, bending, twisting, and lifting items overhead
• Capable of climbing wind towers up to 400 ft in height up to three times daily
• Fluent English verbal and written communication skills
• Current valid driver’s license and fit-to-drive record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check (if required)
• Pre-employment drug screen and physical (if needed)

Nice to have:

• Experience with turbine technology and/or being up-tower on platforms, including Solar/Off-shore experience
• Willingness to learn and progress into roles such as troubleshooting, commissioning, or lead technician
