About the Role: We are seeking experienced Wind Engineers to provide technical review, site supervision, commissioning support, and performance verification for utility-scale wind energy works under an Owner’s Engineer assignment in Oman. The role requires strong experience in wind turbine technology, erection supervision, commissioning coordination, reliability testing, and multidisciplinary interface management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise wind turbine erection, installation, mechanical completion, and associated balance-of-plant activities.
- Review wind-related technical submissions, drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection plans, commissioning procedures, and test records.
- Monitor construction quality, installation progress, logistics, interface constraints, and technical compliance for wind farm works.
- Witness wind turbine inspections, commissioning tests, reliability runs, and performance verification activities.
- Coordinate interfaces with civil, electrical, grid, planning, QA/QC, HSE, and commissioning teams.
- Support review of wind plant performance data, availability records, technical issues, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
- Provide discipline input to progress reports, technical meetings, risk reviews, and project close-out activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in wind turbine technology, wind farm construction, erection supervision, commissioning, or technical advisory roles.
- Experience on utility-scale wind projects is required; Owner’s Engineer, PMC, LTA, or EPC supervision experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with wind turbine installation, inter-array grid works, SCADA, reliability testing, availability assessment, and performance verification.
- Knowledge of IEC 61400 standards and wind performance testing requirements is preferred.
- Strong technical reporting, coordination, site supervision, and problem-solving skills.
