Wildlife Technician

About This Role

This entry-level position involves inspecting structures for infestations, learning correct trapping procedures, and repairing damage caused by various animals and birds. It suits a professional who is self-motivated, enjoys working outdoors, and is comfortable with independent work, including on weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structures for infestation by squirrels, raccoons, birds, bats, mice, and other pests
• Learn correct trapping procedures to remove birds and animals from residential and commercial properties
• Repair all damage caused by wildlife
• Answer calls and manage your own day once trained

Requirements

• Valid driving record
• Stable work history
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working with insects and various animals in a variety of environmental conditions and confined spaces
• Physical ability to set up, use, and work off of 32-foot+ extension ladders
• Able to read and understand product labels
• Satisfactorily complete initial technical training and State Licensing requirements
• Pass a pre-employment drug test, motor vehicle, and criminal background check
• No fear of heights
• Good communication skills
• Good physical condition, anticipating daily ladder time
• Self-motivation
• Good driving record
• Knowledge of the Kansas City area
