Green Diamond
This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to build experience in two natural resource disciplines: wildlife and forestry. You will work with the wildlife team to conduct field surveys for raptors from February through June, and then transition to the forestry team from July through January to support field layout for Timber Harvest Plans, reforestation activities, and other forest management projects. The role suits someone who enjoys working outdoors, is interested in wildlife, forestry, and responsible forest management, and brings a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Green Diamond is a 6th generation family-owned company that grows and nurtures forests, a renewable resource to build homes, schools, and household necessities, sequestering and storing carbon every single day it operates. The company is guided by values of environmental stewardship and supporting local communities, with a history spanning over 130 years. Green Diamond focuses on the health and safety of its people first, planning to be in operation for another 130 years. The company works on nearly 400,000 acres of privately held forest property, located in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties along the Northern California coast, with offices nestled in the redwood forest near the Pacific Ocean.
