About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and deliver tire loads to other Southern Tire Mart locations and wholesale customers.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties related to tire loads.
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, vehicle logs, and safety documentation.
- Keep up with necessary certifications required for driving and safety compliance.
- Conduct and update vehicle maintenance and safety inspection sheets daily.
- Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with customers and team members.
- Load and unload tire shipments as required.
- Must be able to lift and/or move tires weighing between 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
Skills / Education / Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
- Prior delivery, shipping/receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy tires safely.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
