Wellness Coordinator

About This Role

This remote position within California focuses on connecting people with the care, pharmacy benefits, data, and resources they need to feel their best. The Wellness Coordinator answers incoming phone calls from healthcare providers and members, identifying the type of assistance needed and gathering clinical information for licensed staff to make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Focus on one-call resolution, navigating through complex computer systems to identify the status of the request and provide appropriate response to caller
• Deliver information and answer questions in a confident manner to facilitate positive outcomes with the providers and members served
• Complete thorough documentation of call interactions with real-time talking and typing
• Serve as a resource or Subject Matter Expert for team members or internal customers
• Make outbound calls to families who have a child with Autism to discuss provider referrals and behavioral health needs
• Collect data from providers, inputting information into multiple documentation systems
• Contact providers to clarify information, review benefits and authorizations, and assist with care coordination
• Coordinate information to clinical team partners
• Triage submission of clinical information, set up cases to improve timely review, and complete administrative follow-ups on cases

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 3+ years of experience within the behavioral health field
• 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• 1+ years of experience in telephonic customer service
• Must reside in the state of California
• Ability to work any of the 8-hour shift schedules during normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST
• May be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

Nice to have:

• Managed care experience
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Experience working within a medical/behavioral setting (e.g., hospital, managed care organization, or joint)
