About This Role
Working carefully and keeping a tidy warehouse will fit well in the logistics team. This full-time, on-site Welder role is based in Acheson, AB. The CWB Qualified Welder will work with the team, preparing and welding from engineered drawings. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing various welding operations on metal components and assemblies according to technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform various welding operations on metal components and assemblies according to technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards
- Prepare and weld from engineered drawings
- Perform structural welding FCAW/MCAW and SMAW
- Collaborate with fabrication and maintenance teams
- Ensure proper handling of materials
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow all company safety policies
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Support project timelines
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in core welding techniques
- Hands-on experience with specific welding processes
- Knowledge of materials, including metal types, properties, and appropriate welding applications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
- Relevant welding certification or journeyperson status is preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in industrial and outdoor environments
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and meet project deadlines
