About the role
Role: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) providing home care services in patients' residences.
Responsibilities Include
- Providing direct patient care, including personal hygiene, transfers, ambulation, and basic nursing duties as instructed by healthcare professionals.
- Assisting with prescribed exercises, meal preparation considering dietary needs, and offering companionship.
- Performing light housekeeping and ensuring high-quality care as part of a team.
- Maintaining accurate records, reporting changes in patient condition, and completing tasks via EVV systems.
- Upholding patient confidentiality, respecting patient rights, and following the Plan of Care.
- Notifying supervisors of concerns such as abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, ability to read, write, and follow directions.
- Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs, bend, stand, and perform necessary tasks.
- Sympathetic attitude towards patient care.
Additional Details: The role involves travel within a designated area, with no guaranteed hours or assignment length. Equipment used includes blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes, and physical demands require adaptability to various patient needs and environments.
