About This Role
Working as a Wedding Catering Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for engaged couples, guiding them through menu selection, tastings, and all logistical details pertaining to their catering needs. This role is integral to ensuring that every wedding catered is a seamless and magical experience for clients. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication skills, a keen understanding of wedding trends, and a passion for creating unforgettable culinary moments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for wedding clients, managing inquiries and providing detailed information about catering services
- Guide clients through menu selection, customization, and dietary requirement considerations
- Schedule and coordinate client tastings and menu finalization meetings
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure all menu specifications are met
- Develop detailed event timelines and run sheets for catering staff
- Coordinate with venue managers and other event vendors to ensure seamless event execution
- Oversee on-site setup and service execution on the day of the event, ensuring client satisfaction
- Manage client contracts, deposits, and final payments
- Maintain accurate client records and event details in the CRM system
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the planning process or on the event day
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in event coordination, catering sales, or client services, preferably within the wedding industry
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems
- Adept at managing client expectations and resolving conflicts professionally
- Passion for food, events, and creating memorable experiences
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, especially during peak wedding season
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
