About This Role
This web developer role is for a skilled, creative, and results-driven individual to join a technology team at a growing EdTech startup. The core of the job is developing, maintaining, and optimizing responsive, secure, and high-performing web applications that support a digital learning platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive websites and web applications
- Develop and optimize front-end and back-end functionalities
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA Engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services into web applications
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks
- Ensure websites and applications are responsive, secure, scalable, and compatible across browsers and devices
- Maintain clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code
- Participate in system testing, code reviews, deployment, and continuous application improvements
- Implement website optimization techniques to improve speed, performance, and user experience
- Support the continuous development and enhancement of Tutearn's EdTech platform
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in web development or a related software development role
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development practices
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.js, Next.js, Vue.js, or Angular
- Familiarity with back-end technologies such as Node.js, PHP, Laravel, or Python
- Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
- Proficiency in Git, GitHub, or other version control systems
- Understanding of responsive design, website security, performance optimization, and debugging
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
