Working at Studio Carbon, the Web Designer transforms brand identities into engaging and innovative website designs that become the digital face of clients. The role suits a creative force who can translate abstract brand concepts into tangible, interactive digital experiences, pushing the boundaries of conventional web design. This person will be the crucial link between brand strategy and digital realization, creating stunning website designs that embody the essence of each brand.
Responsibilities
- Translate brand identities and guidelines into visually stunning and user-friendly website designs using Figma
- Create innovative, out-of-the-box design solutions that set clients apart from generic website templates
- Develop responsive layouts that maintain visual integrity across various devices and screen sizes
- Incorporate UI best practices and consider user experience in all design decisions, ensuring intuitive navigation and interaction
- Design engaging micro-interactions and animations that enhance the user experience while being feasible to implement on Webflow
- Collaborate closely with brand strategists, UX designers, and Webflow developers to ensure designs meet brand objectives, user needs, and technical possibilities
- Manage multiple website design projects simultaneously, meeting all deadlines and quality standards
- Stay updated with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies, continuously refining skills and expanding creative toolkit
- Contribute to Studio Carbon's reputation as a leader in innovative web design by proactively suggesting new design approaches or technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Web Design, UI Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (or relevant work experience)
- 2-3 years of proven experience in website design, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative and brand-aligned web projects
- Exceptional visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, color theory, and composition in digital spaces
- Expert-level skills in Figma for website design and prototyping
- Familiarity with Webflow's capabilities and limitations to design within the platform's possibilities
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Webflow for effective collaboration with website developers
- Experience in designing interactive elements and animations for websites
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions to both team members and clients
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Curiosity to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in Graphic Design
