Waste Management Administrator

About This Role

Working carefully and keeping accurate records are at the heart of this administrative role, which supports a specialist recycling company by managing waste compliance paperwork and weighbridge operations. The role involves recording vehicle weights, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with site procedures and legal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge system to record incoming and outgoing vehicle weights
• Issue weight tickets, receipts, and delivery notes
• Verify vehicle details, load types, and documentation
• Input and maintain accurate records in computer systems/databases
• Communicate with drivers, site staff, and customers professionally
• Handle basic administrative duties (filing, emails, reports)
• Report faults or issues with weighbridge equipment
• Assist with audits and stock/material reconciliation
• Data entry of waste movements
• Provide necessary compliance paperwork to customers supporting the operations and accounting team

Requirements

• Computer literate with IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, data entry systems)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
