Warehouse Supervisor

About This Role

Supervising all aspects of day-to-day warehouse operations is the core of this role, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound movement of products. The Warehouse Supervisor works closely with the Business Unit Leader and Operations Director, as well as 3PLs, to ensure on-time distribution and liaises with internal stakeholders to plan and coordinate goods movement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operations within the warehouse function are completed to achieve maximum service levels
• Supervise operational contact within the Warehouse team on all daily business requirements
• Organize the arrival and dispatch of the company's products, liaising with agents, carriers, and shipping lines
• Lead contact and responsible for supervising outside warehouse contractors and forwarders on a day-to-day basis
• Monitor and review subcontractors' service performance and highlight potential performance improvements via monthly reviews
• Lead contact and liaise closely with Customer Service, Sales, and Commercial resources, maintaining and developing good inter-departmental relations and communications
• Manage, develop, and coach your team to achieve best-in-class business targets and develop a strategic succession plan for direct reports
• Work closely with the Business Unit Leader and Operations Director in cross-functional development plans for key stakeholders and peers
• Prepare monthly KPI outputs for all Ireland Outbound deliveries and hold a monthly review with the Business Unit Leader and Operations Director on areas of concern and opportunity
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and, via collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, develop effective solutions to realize them
• Work closely with the Business Unit Leader to develop personal and departmental objectives, and ensure objectives are on target via monitoring and feedback
• Monitor and continuously improve standards of Health & Safety, performance, and quality within the job function/department
• Adhere to the company's policies and procedures regarding health and safety, minimization of waste and care for the environment, equality of opportunity, elimination of discrimination and unfair treatment, and prevention of fraud
• Encourage and pursue a policy of continuous improvement and ensure, through coordination with Management, that departmental procedures and work instructions are maintained, updated when necessary, and adhered to
• Adhere to the company's accounting procedures and, where appropriate, manage and monitor expenditure under your jurisdiction
• Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time by your Manager or Senior Management Team
