Warehouse Supervisor

About This Role

This role involves coordinating daily warehouse operations, focusing on outgoing logistics, sample shipments, and transport safety. The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure raw materials and finished goods are packed, registered, labeled, and shipped efficiently and safely, working closely with logistics, warehouse, production, and planning departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily warehouse operations with the warehouse operator, focusing on outgoing logistics, sample shipments, and transport safety (TSC)
• Ensure good coordination between incoming and outgoing goods flow
• Ensure goods are packed, prepared, and transported safely, correctly, and efficiently
• Control and carry out correct loading of trucks and containers
• Have overall responsibility for the sample process, from preparation to shipment
• Ensure samples are of high quality and sent to international customers within agreed deadlines
• Ensure correct registration of warehouse movements and goods information
• Control freight documentation and ensure goods and samples are correctly labeled according to applicable requirements
• Use SAP daily to register warehouse movements, update shipment status, and process documentation related to outgoing deliveries
• Maintain ongoing dialogue with production and supply chain planning to ensure smooth flow of goods deliveries and prevent bottlenecks
• Actively participate in the company's safety work (SHE)
• Contribute to a strong safety culture and ensure work is performed in accordance with local requirements and company's SHE standards
• Act as a substitute for the warehouse operator when needed, and coordinate holiday scheduling to ensure continuity in warehouse operations
• Ensure the warehouse operator has the necessary competence to handle main tasks during your absence
• Follow up on relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) and work systematically to improve results and work processes
• Contribute to improvements both within own department and across the organization
• Implement and follow up 5S and Lean principles to maintain order, improve workflow, and increase efficiency
• Act as Transport Safety Coordinator for the facility
• Follow up on transport safety in connection with the transport of dangerous and non-dangerous goods
• Contribute to ensuring that local routines, training, and practices comply with applicable regulations and internal safety standards

Requirements

• Vocational certificate in logistics or relevant education in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain
• Experience with warehouse operations and logistics is an advantage
• Experience with SAP, especially in Warehouse Management (WM) or Materials Management (MM), is highly desirable
