About This Role
Managing operations with outsourced logistics providers and internal teams is central to this role, ensuring optimal inventory levels across multiple locations. This position involves planning, ordering, purchasing, and customer account management within the local region, and is suited to a professional who can lead staff development and implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Manage operations with multiple outsourced Logistics Operations providers and internal organization
- Plan ordering, purchasing, and customer account specialists in the local region
- Ensure optimum inventory levels at multiple locations
- Determine staffing requirements; ensure effective recruitment, training, and retention of key staff to enable staff development
- Perform reconciliations, validations, and audits of warehouse inventory operations
- Work closely with Management to implement corrective actions
- Manage commitment methodologies and processes across product groups
- Generate necessary documentation, including activity/status reports, operation review input, and excess/obsolete analysis
- Administer company policies, including yearly performance review, that directly affect subordinate employees
- Create and submit claims for AMAT lost or damaged materials and assist suppliers with their parts claim
Requirements
- Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals
- Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies
- Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance
- Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
- Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules
