This Warehouse Manager role involves overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company standards. Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring smooth workflow, operational efficiency and compliance with established procedures and company standards
- Lead, supervise and motivate the warehouse team to achieve operational targets, maintain productivity and ensure timely completion of daily activities
- Establish clear work expectations, monitor employee performance and promote accountability, teamwork and operational discipline
- Plan and coordinate manpower allocation, work schedules and daily warehouse activities to optimise resources and operational effectiveness
- Manage the receiving, storage, movement and issuance of materials, ensuring proper identification, accurate documentation and systematic stock arrangement
- Optimise warehouse layout, storage capacity and material accessibility to improve space utilisation, stock retrieval and overall workflow efficiency
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures, including regular stock monitoring, quarterly stocktakes and reconciliation of discrepancies
- Investigate inventory variances, operational issues and process inefficiencies, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate corrective and preventive measures
- Drive continuous improvements in warehouse processes, inventory accuracy, productivity and overall operational performance
- Ensure warehouse facilities, equipment and storage areas are properly maintained in accordance with workplace safety requirements and 5S housekeeping standards
- Coordinate with internal departments and relevant stakeholders to ensure materials are available to support operational and project requirements
- Prepare operational updates, inventory reports and performance reviews for management
- Undertake additional operational responsibilities and improvement initiatives as assigned by management
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant warehouse operations experience, preferably with supervisory or managerial responsibilities
- Proven experience leading warehouse personnel, managing manpower allocation and overseeing daily operational activities
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage diverse teams, address operational challenges and maintain a productive working environment
