Job Description Sheet Metal Operations Supervisor Location: Richmond, VA Pay range: $30-36 Position Summary Warehouse & Sheet Metal Operations SupervisorThe ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with experience managing teams in a fast-paced . This individual will drive productivity, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations and sheet metal fabrication activities. Plan and manage workflow, production schedules, and operational goals while maintaining efficiency and minimizing downtime.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Promote continuous improvement initiatives including Lean principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and standardized work.

Resource & Inventory Management
-
Oversee inventory processes including raw sheet metal materials (steel, aluminum, galvanized), receiving, storage, and tracking.

Safety & Compliance

Promote safe operation of fabrication equipment and proper handling of sheet metal materials.

Maintain a strong culture of safety awareness in both warehouse and fabrication areas.

Address performance issues while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Working knowledge of Lean principles including 5S and continuous improvement practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with SMACNA standards and sheet metal specifications.

Experience using ERP, MRP, or inventory/WMS systems.

Exposure to CNC programming or automated fabrication equipment is a plus.
