About the role

Duties

As an Fuel Distribution Systems Supervisor, you will:

  • Plan, coordinate and schedule work assignments for warehouse staff.
  • Use National Fire Equipment Systems (NFES) methods and standards to apply the national refurbishment standards utilized on incident equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure that Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is provided; employees are aware of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety procedures; are trained in the safe and correct use of PPE and warehouse tools and equipment.
  • Supervise a diverse workforce providing kit configuration and packaging development, safety, procedural manuals, national standards, order, receive, issue, return, store, refurbish, inventory, ship, and control of property.
  • Develop fuel operations training and procedures.
  • Interpret CFR-49; Communicates and coordinates information orally and in writing.
  • Develop safety risk analysis for standard operating procedures as a Fire Cache.

Qualifications

Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualifications System for Trades and Labor Occupations will be used in determining applicants' qualifications. There is no specific length of training or experience required; however, you must be able to demonstrate through experience shown in your written resume that you have the ability to independently do the work of the position, as defined below, without more than normal supervision. You must be rated at least at the acceptable level in these elements to receive further consideration. Qualifications: Have led others in issuing and receiving in a warehouse; operated a forklift; shipped dangerous goods; and operated bulk fueling systems.
