About the role
SWFM Retail Group, LLC is seeking Retail Warehouse Director who oversees the day-to-day operations on-site of our fulfillment center's storage and distribution area, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and fulfillment of inventory. This role balances active staff management, inventory control, and supply-chain logistics to support a scaling off-price retail business. This position reports to the CEO/Owner.
Key Qualifications:
- Uses understanding of the larger supply chain network to run and drive end-to-end Distribution Center and business objectives.
- Develops and implements appropriate plans to achieve optimal productivity by the team.
- Recommends and implements process improvements for the supply chain.
- Ensures compliance with all safety and HR policies for the Distribution Center.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, organizational, and business skills.
- Computer skills with Retail management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and dynamically engage the distribution team to meet processing objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, reconcile data with warehouse management systems (WMS), and execute cycle counts.
- Shipping & Receiving: Coordinate truck arrivals, oversee unloading, and ensure proper storage.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, motivate, and evaluate warehouse staff to maintain productivity targets.
- Safety & Security: Enforce health and safety protocols and secure company assets.
- Partnership: Collaborate with CEO, CFO, VP of Planning/Allocations, VP of Merchandising, VP of Store Operations, and other members of management to achieve the company’s financial and business objectives.
Key Requirements
- Education & Experience: Associate or bachelor's degree preferred, with 5-7 years of supervisory or supply chain experience.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50lbs to 80lbs and stand for extended periods.
