About This Role
Joining the LKQ family as a Warehouse Associate involves a variety of tasks related to managing stock and fulfilling orders. This role is ideal for a motivated individual seeking opportunities for growth within a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive and put away inbound product to designated locations
- Pick/pull correct product from appropriate locations and deliver to staging area/delivery truck
- Operate manual/powered equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc., to transport product in and about the warehouse
- Sort and place parts and supplies on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence
- Maintain orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas
- Comply with established company policies and procedures
- Assume other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Up to 1 year of work-related experience
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate basic messages orally
- May write brief messages and keep simple records
- Ability to solve simple, repetitive problems generally by clear directions and procedures
- Follow standard procedures with no decision-making involved
- Use guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager
- Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Nice to have:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Warehouse, or similar, work environment experience
- Prior PIT (forklift, order picker, etc.) experience
