Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, providing outstanding guest relations and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with precision.
- Serve food and beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks with professionalism and flair.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed, demonstrating culinary experience and teamwork.
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Support beverage service operations by understanding drink recipes, spirits knowledge, and proper pouring techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service in both casual and fine dining settings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service roles such as server, bartender, host/hostess or similar hospitality positions.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Demonstrated culinary experience along with beverage expertise including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink service.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while processing sales efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, tips, and managing sales transactions confidently.
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience in a fast-paced environment preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills combined with a positive attitude that fosters teamwork and guest satisfaction.
