Position Overview
Seeking an experienced healthcare network executive to lead the development, expansion, and management of a national provider and vendor network supporting the workers' compensation and property & casualty insurance markets. This is a strategic leadership role with full contracting authority and responsibility for network growth, performance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contracting authority for provider, vendor, and third-party administrator (TPA) agreements, negotiating rates, terms, and performance standards.
- Design, build, and optimize a national provider network supporting payers, employers, and TPAs.
- Develop and execute network strategies focused on geographic coverage, provider access, and competitive market positioning.
- Recruit, contract, and credential physicians, occupational health providers, hospitals, urgent care centers, and ancillary providers.
- Establish and manage relationships with TPAs and managed care organizations (MCOs).
- Define network performance metrics and drive accountability through data analysis and performance reviews.
- Partner with claims, utilization management, and care coordination teams to align network strategy with clinical and operational objectives.
- Collaborate with sales, account management, and product teams on business development initiatives and RFP responses.
- Ensure compliance with state-specific workers' compensation network regulations and access requirements.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing remote team focused on network development and contracting.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in provider network development, contracting, or network management within Medicare Advantage, workers' compensation, property & casualty, managed care, or related healthcare environments.
- Demonstrated experience holding signing authority and negotiating complex, multi-state provider agreements.
- Deep understanding of workers' compensation billing, fee schedules, state regulations, and managed care operations.
- Proven success building, expanding, or optimizing provider networks at a regional or national level.
- Strong experience managing TPA and MCO partnerships.
- Financial acumen with expertise in contract economics, pricing strategies, and network ROI analysis.
- Experience leading teams within remote and matrixed organizations.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has extensive Medicare Advantage network development experience and a track record of building provider networks from the ground up. This individual should be comfortable operating in a highly visible executive role, driving network strategy, negotiating complex contracts, and developing strategic partnerships across multiple healthcare markets. Experience working with TPAs, MCOs, and multi-state provider networks is strongly preferred.
