About the role
Our client, a leading organization in the construction and real estate industry, is seeking a Vice President of Project Controls to join their team. As a Vice President, you will be part of the Project Controls Department supporting project teams and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: VP of Project Controls
Location: Poughkeepsie, New York
Pay Range: $110-134/hr.
What's the Job?
- Lead project controls for multiple engagements, including large-scale and complex projects.
- Partner with team members to execute projects through all phases, from conceptual design to final delivery.
- Present project updates and cost estimates to key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency.
- Develop detailed construction cost and project cost estimates, utilizing local market data and industry benchmarks.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor their implementation to ensure project success.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 10+ years of experience as an Estimator, Cost Manager, or similar role in the construction or real estate industry.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Cost-X, On-Screen Takeoff, or equivalent tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certifications in project management (e.g., AACE, RICS) are preferred.
