About the role
Our client, a leading organization in the construction and real estate industry, is seeking a Vice President of Project Controls to join their team. In this role, you will be part of the Project Controls Department supporting strategic project execution and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Vice President of Project Controls
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Pay Range: $110-135/hr.
What's the Job?
- Lead project controls for multiple engagements, including large-scale and complex projects.
- Partner with team members to execute projects through all stages, from conception to completion.
- Present project updates and cost estimates to key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency.
- Develop detailed construction cost and project cost estimates from initial design through final documentation.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor their implementation to ensure project success.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 10+ years of experience as an Estimator, Cost Manager, or similar role within the construction or real estate sectors.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Cost-X, On-Screen Takeoff, or equivalent tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate comprehensive cost evaluations and benchmarks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
