Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math.

Volunteer Account Coordinator – Girl Scouts Service Unit Girl Scouts of West Central Florida is seeking a dependable, organized volunteer to serve as an Account Coordinator for a local Service Unit. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, helping others, and supporting a strong volunteer team.

The Account Coordinator helps troop leaders understand and follow Girl Scout financial procedures, including troop banking, financial reporting, and required documentation. This volunteer works closely with the Service Unit Manager and council staff to help ensure troop finances are completed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities may include assisting new troops with establishing bank accounts, providing reminders about financial deadlines, helping troop leaders with annual financial reports, reviewing required documentation, answering basic financial process questions, and communicating concerns or incomplete information to the appropriate Service Unit or council staff.

No Girl Scout experience is required. Training and support will be provided. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable communicating with volunteers, able to maintain confidentiality, and willing to be part of a team supporting Girl Scout troops in the local community.

This is a flexible volunteer opportunity, with the greatest time commitment typically occurring around annual financial reporting deadlines and when new troops are being established.
