About This Role
This role is for a Voice Teaching Artist who will connect with students throughout NYC, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The position involves teaching vocal skills to students of all ages and levels, with a particular focus on engaging young children. The ideal candidate will have a warm, patient, and inspiring teaching style.
Responsibilities
- Teach vocal skills with strong teaching and performance abilities
- Work with young children, including those as young as 5
- Mentor, motivate, and inspire students while building their confidence and musical skills
- Teach students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced learners
- Be versatile across musical genres, especially musical theatre, R&B, and Pop
- Communicate effectively and maintain a collaborative, professional attitude
Requirements
- Strong vocal teaching and performance skills, with piano or guitar proficiency a major plus
- Genuine enjoyment of working with young children and experience teaching this age group
- A warm, patient, and engaging teaching style
- Experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels
- Versatility across musical genres
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, professional attitude
- Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field, with a focus on voice
- Professional-level vocal performance experience
- At least five years of private teaching experience
- Ability to teach in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens
- A genuine passion for helping students grow musically and personally
