About This Role
This role involves creating visual content at scale for two distinct brands, working within a dedicated team to deliver various visual assets. The Visual Designer will be responsible for producing content packages that include banners, social posts, emails, and newsletters, all while maintaining brand visual identity and adhering to content strategy pillars.
Responsibilities
- Design static hero banners and supporting imagery (up to 2 per post) for blog content pages
- Produce homepage static banners and PLP tiles, built from existing assets and the image library
- Design eCRM emails across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch, and create a dark-market version of each design
- Lay out standalone newsletters within the existing template
- Create social assets for a single concept across reel, static post (1 dimension), carousel, and story formats
- Prepare stills, graphics, and on-screen copy treatments for the social reel master video (up to 10 seconds, 1 format), adapted from the static assets
- Adapt existing key visuals across formats and channels; concepting new key visuals is outside the role
- Supply organised, layered PSD files with every design deliverable
- Work with the content producer so copy and design land together, and so web assets support SEO best practice (image sizing, file weight, alt text)
- Keep each brand's visual identity distinct and consistent across every channel
- Check briefs for asset availability and feasibility, and flag gaps early so batches and timelines hold
Requirements
- Good understanding of Figma
- Advanced Photoshop skills, including building clean, well-organised, layered PSD files that others can pick up
- Strong layout, typography, and image-handling skills, including retouching, cropping, and compositing from an image library
- Experience adapting a key visual across formats and dimensions without losing its impact
- An understanding of email design constraints, including working within templates and designing for different email clients and mobile
- Knowledge of current social formats and specifications for reels, carousels, stories, and static posts
- Basic motion or video skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar), enough to prepare graphics and copy treatments for a short reel
- Experience working to brand guidelines, ideally across more than one brand at once
- Awareness of web image best practice: sizing, file weight, export formats, and alt text
- Strong attention to detail and file hygiene, with accurate naming, versioning, and handover
- Good organisation, with experience delivering batches of assets to fixed timelines
- Clear communication with copywriters, content producers, and whoever is briefing the work
