About This Role
This full-time Visual Designer role involves creating visual assets for web and print, spanning packaging, retail, print and merchandise collateral, newsletters, paid ads, and publications. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with design and marketing teams to bring the company's brand to life across various touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Design packaging for products and accessories, taking concepts through to print-ready files
- Design retail assets such as in-store displays, point-of-sale materials, shelf and signage graphics, and creatives for retail partners and marketplaces
- Create print and merchandise collateral such as inserts, brochures, event materials, and branded merchandise
- Prepare production-ready files with correct print specifications (CMYK/Pantone, bleeds, dielines) and coordinate with printers and vendors
- Design publications such as guides, reports, and editorial layouts for both digital and print formats
- Design newsletters and email campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team
- Develop static and animated creatives for paid ad campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads), including variations for testing
- Build and maintain reusable Figma templates, components, and design systems to keep work consistent and scalable
- Use AI tools for ideation, asset generation, resizing, and variations, and proactively find ways to optimize design workflows with AI
- Uphold brand guidelines across all channels and contribute to the evolution of the visual identity
- For designers with illustration skills, create surface pattern designs for soft goods such as sheets, swaddles, towels, and bibs
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of relevant industry experience designing across both web and print, ideally with exposure to consumer brands (or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, or related fields with equivalent practical experience)
- A portfolio that showcases packaging, retail, print and merchandise, newsletters, paid ads, and publication work, demonstrating range across formats and a consistent eye for brand
- Strong mastery of Figma, including components, auto layout, and building templates and design systems, along with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Familiarity with motion tools like After Effects and illustration skills (hand-drawn or digital) are a plus
- Designers who illustrate will get to work on surface pattern design for soft goods, so experience with seamless repeats and colorways is a bonus

- Experience working with printers and vendors to see work through to final output
- Hands-on experience using AI tools for ideation, image generation, editing, and asset variations
- Curiosity to experiment with new tools and a knack for spotting where AI can speed up or simplify design workflows
- Passionate and up to date with the latest trends in packaging, retail, and digital design, and an understanding of platform-specific requirements for ads and email
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and openness to constructive feedback and quick iterations
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively across cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to juggle multiple projects and hit deadlines
- Keen attention to detail, especially when preparing files for print and production
