Unbound Academy has redesigned what teaching means. This hybrid position supports a tuition-free, fully virtual Arizona charter school that trades worksheets for experiential learning and prioritizes personal development. Students handle core academics on their own using AI-driven platforms during two concentrated daily hours. The remainder of their schedule is dedicated to building practical skills through facilitated workshops, coaching, and discovery.
You won't deliver prescribed lessons or monitor a virtual classroom. Instead, you'll facilitate dynamic online sessions that push students to think critically, collaborate, create, and evolve. Your role centers on mentoring them through storytelling, entrepreneurship, wellness, and critical thinking while cultivating independence, self-assurance, and executive skills.
This position isn't designed for educators attempting to recreate conventional schooling online. It's for licensed teachers willing to move to Arizona, embrace a hybrid structure, and guide students in ways that genuinely prepare them for real life. What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating engaging virtual workshops centered on life skills including communication, creativity, critical thinking, and self-management
- Coaching students individually and in small groups to develop confidence, accountability, and executive functioning skills
- Leveraging platform analytics and student indicators to customize support and monitor development over time
- Partnering with peer educators to design and refine project-based learning opportunities
- Building a supportive, energizing environment where students feel recognized, challenged, and inspired to develop
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Instructing core academic content; adaptive AI tutors manage those subjects
- Presenting scripted lessons or operating a conventional classroom structure
- Evaluating worksheets, assigning homework, or creating standardized lesson plans
Virtual Learning Facilitator Key Responsibilities Drive student development and life preparedness by facilitating transformative, real-world learning experiences within a hybrid, fully virtual school environment.
Basic Requirements
- Available to begin end of July 2026
- Valid U.S. teaching certificate from any state, or an expired certificate eligible for reinstatement, with certification transferable to Arizona
- Strong virtual presence and comfort facilitating students via video
- Able to work in a hybrid role in Arizona

Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $60,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
