About This Role
This newly created video producer role owns the full lifecycle of video content, from initial topic to final publication, ensuring high-quality, engaging videos for teachers, trainers, event hosts, and team leads in the US, UK, and Australia. The producer will be responsible for scripting, talent booking and direction, shoot production, and delivering a polished package to the editor. The role sits within the Growth & Content team and requires a blend of creative and logistical skills to produce diverse video formats, from tutorials to short-form vertical clips.
Responsibilities
- Write scripts for on-camera talent, focusing on hooks, single ideas per video, plain language, and natural spoken rhythm for both long-form and vertical formats
- Book and direct on-camera talent through agency partners or the talent roster, providing clear briefs and effective on-set direction
- Run production by finding and booking suitable studios, negotiating day rates, and managing lighting, sound, and production budgets
- Produce videos for various formats, including long-form, vertical (TikTok / Reels / Shorts), square (LinkedIn / Facebook), and silent-autoplay versions with captions
- Own the handoff and review process, delivering labeled files, shot lists, selected takes, timestamps, and an edit brief for the editor, and providing consolidated feedback
- Publish across platforms by writing tailored titles, thumbnails, descriptions, captions, hooks, and hashtags for each platform
- Keep the content pipeline visible by maintaining a content calendar showing the status of each video (scripted, booked, shooting, in edit, in review, publishing) with accurate dates and reporting weekly
Requirements
- Proven experience directing or producing people on camera, with the ability to give constructive feedback without creating tension
- Near-native written English with a strong ear for natural spoken English, ensuring all content resonates with the target audience
- Spoken English strong enough to comfortably and authoritatively direct native speakers on set or over calls
- First-hand knowledge of the target audience's world, gained through studying, living, or working in the US, UK, or Australia, or close professional interaction (provide details)
- Fluency in short-form video, with the ability to analyze and explain the effectiveness of different viral content
- Ability to transform a one-line topic into watchable content and to quickly learn software to accurately explain it
- Visible organization skills, including properly named files, current calendars, and well-documented briefs
Nice to have:
- An existing network of on-camera talent in Vietnam or abroad
- Existing relationships with studios and crew in Hanoi
