About This Role
This role is for a full-time podcast show producer and video editor who will lead the daily basketball show around the NBA. It suits a self-motivated individual with a passion for sports media, looking to work in an agile, fast-paced team for a growing brand.
Responsibilities
- Produce final video podcast episodes for distribution on YouTube
- Create highlight clips from the full video episode for social platforms
- Create visually appealing thumbnails for YouTube
- Produce short 30-second, high-quality, teaser videos
- Collaborate with talent, hosts, and producers
- Ensure all videos meet quality standards and are delivered on time
- Meet clients’ quality standards
- Stay updated on industry trends and editing techniques to enhance video production quality
- Manage video files, backups, and archives for future reference
- Work closely with producers and directors to bring their creative vision to life through editing
- Maintain organized project files and adhere to file management best practices
Requirements
- Showrunner lead for a daily basketball show around the NBA (must have an interest and/or passion around the NBA)
- Curate topics and subject matter and communicate/collaborate with talent and other producers for the show
- Video editing skills, specifically: color correction, masking, and syncing video and audio
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Experience/interested in creating video for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Twitter)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule
- Has initiative and is collaborative in a team environment
- Can source captivating and relevant imagery used for enhancing video content
- Has experience and is proficiently skilled in live on-set productions
- Is capable of operating cameras, framing, composition, etc., and setting up/tearing down production shoots
- Has a high level of attention to detail and is time efficient
Nice to have:
- Experience and proficient skills in live on-set productions (working with camera, lighting, audio, etc.)
- 1 year of experience as a Video Editor (preferred)
