About the role

Full-time · Hybrid • Lakewood Ranch, FL · Start January 2027

Carvd Studios makes content for clients like the PGA of America, USGA, SeaSucker, Vortex Optics, among many others. We're growing because of our desire to overdeliver to our clients. You'll cut documentary and commercial content for topics ranging from sports to business.

Individual applicants only

This is a full-time, in-house position, and we're hiring individuals. Post-production houses, white-label editing services, agencies and staffing firms are not eligible. We won't respond to solicitations from them. Please don't submit on behalf of a company or a team.

The role

This job is mostly post with some time on set. About 75% of your role is editing and owning our post-production workflows, including the media and cloud systems that keep footage moving. The other 25%, you'll run a camera on shoots.

You'll work directly with our department heads, shooters and freelance editors. We expect early-career candidates. Raw talent and ownership matter more than years on a résumé.

Post Production (about 75%)

  • Cut commercial spots, branded social and long-form documentary across our full client roster
  • Build selects, rough cuts and finals in Premiere Pro, then turn revisions fast
  • Handle sound cleanup, color passes and graphics as each project needs
  • Deliver to spec for broadcast, web and vertical social
  • Run ingest, organization and naming so any editor can find any shot in seconds
  • Manage our shared storage, remote editing workflows (Strada, Frame.io) and AWS S3 archive
  • Onboard freelance editors to our systems and keep the documentation current
  • Leverage AI tools to assist you

On set (about 25%)

  • Run a camera on commercial, documentary and live-event shoots
  • Capture B-roll, interviews and coverage that make the edit better
  • Wrangle and back up media on location so footage is safe before it leaves set

What you bring

Must have

  • A reel that shows you can tell a story and cut with rhythm. This matters more than anything else on this list.
  • Strong Premiere Pro skills
  • Working knowledge of cinema cameras, exposure, framing and focus
  • Comfort with file systems, storage and cloud tools, or the curiosity to get there fast
  • Meticulously Organized: you name files, label bins and leave a project cleaner than you found it
  • Able to travel for shoots and lift and carry gear over 50LBS

Nice to have
