About This Role
This role involves transforming raw footage into engaging, high-quality video content for digital marketing campaigns and social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, music synchronization, and platform-specific video formats.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube, Facebook, and other digital channels
- Create promotional videos, brand videos, event recaps, product videos, and social media content
- Select and arrange footage to create engaging and cohesive video stories
- Perform video trimming, cutting, transitions, color correction, and basic color grading
- Add background music, sound effects, voiceovers, subtitles, captions, and text overlays where required
- Ensure videos follow the creative brief, brand guidelines, and platform-specific specifications
- Optimize videos for different aspect ratios, including 9:16, 4:5, 1:1, and 16:9
- Coordinate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to deliver campaign assets
- Manage multiple editing projects, incorporate feedback, and deliver final videos within deadlines
- Organize project files and export videos in the required formats and resolutions
- Plan, shoot, and appear in on-site photo and video sessions to create content for the website and social media platforms
Requirements
- Strong understanding of video editing, storytelling, pacing, and visual continuity
- Knowledge of transitions, audio synchronization, subtitles, and basic color grading
- Ability to select suitable music and sound effects for different types of content
- Understanding of social media video trends and audience engagement
- Good attention to detail, time management, and revision-handling skills
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and multiple projects
- 1–2 years of relevant video editing experience
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous editing work is required
Nice to have:
- Degree or diploma in Video Editing, Film Production, Multimedia, or a related field is preferred
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- DaVinci Resolve
- Adobe After Effects
- CapCut
- Familiarity with AI-assisted video editing tools is a plus
