About This Role
This Vice President of Sales role offers an entrepreneurial commercial leader the opportunity to shape the commercial future of a successful North American manufacturer of consumer products. Based in the GTA, the role involves accelerating growth, developing new business, and introducing tools, processes, and accountability to enhance commercial performance, reporting directly to the President.
Responsibilities
- Identify and secure major new business opportunities with leading retailers, consumer brands, and companies seeking manufacturing partners
- Expand existing accounts, build long-term customer partnerships, and lead complex commercial negotiations
- Build a high-performing sales organization through coaching, clear objectives, and individual accountability
- Introduce effective CRM, forecasting, pipeline management, and performance measurement to create a more disciplined, results-oriented organization
- Work closely with senior leadership, Operations, Finance, and Product Development to translate commercial opportunities into profitable manufacturing programs
Requirements
- Senior sales leadership experience in contract manufacturing, private label, consumer products, or a closely related manufacturing environment
- A demonstrated record of securing significant new business and developing major customer relationships
- Experience leading sales teams and improving organizational performance
- The ability to introduce sales systems, processes, and accountability that produce measurable results
- Strong commercial judgment, financial acumen, and an understanding of manufacturing economics
Nice to have:
- Experience developing manufacturing partnerships with major consumer brands or managing substantial private-label business
