Vice President of Operations

About This Role

This executive role leads the company's warehouse and home delivery operations, focusing on strategic direction, optimization, and continuous improvement. It suits a results-driven leader with deep expertise in distribution and last-mile delivery, who can drive efficiency and profitability while fostering a culture of operational excellence. The position offers the opportunity to expand into executive ownership of Store Operations and the Guest Experience Team over time.

Responsibilities

• Direct and optimize the company’s warehouse and home delivery operations to ensure an on-time, damage-free delivery experience for every guest
• Drive efficiency, maximize profitability, and ensure seamless execution of strategic and growth objectives across multiple territories
• Partner closely with the CEO and executive team to set operational direction, delegate with accountability, champion innovation, and foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Utilize LEAN principles to ensure continuous improvement in Operations
• Create a zero-defect culture and eliminate waste to ensure all KPIs are optimized
• Fully leverage building layout and design and maximize Pieces Per Hour, Returns, and Productive Delivery Rate
• Manage all aspects of warehouse Operations: Receiving, Returns, Maintenance, Recycling, Yard Management, Pick/Putaway, Product Preparation, Load Out, Inventory Control, and Furniture Repair with operations managers
• Champion Home Delivery and Customer Service Excellence
• Manage inbound container and receiving flow
• Oversee and lead operational safety standards and culture
• Oversee and interact with 3rd Party Delivery Companies to ensure all contractual obligations are met and excellent service standards
