Vice President of Operations

About This Role

This new, company-wide role is designed to transform Genesis Products' strong manufacturing foundation into a competitive advantage by developing smart manufacturing systems. The Vice President of Operations will lead the evolution of existing systems, raise performance standards, and build future capabilities across plants, warehouses, and logistics, ensuring the company can adapt quickly to customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Own safety policy and accountability across every site, ensuring safety performance is measured, visible, and owned
• Own quality and operational excellence systems, including the monthly audit process, to drive lasting improvement
• Design physical and digital systems for agility, absorbing fast-changing customer demand through changeovers, flexible staffing, scheduling, and smart use of the in-house MRP platform
• Partner with business group teams to diagnose and fix underperforming plants with structure, urgency, and hands-on problem solving
• Lead the start-up of major new operations and the redesign of existing ones, from layout and flow to people and process
• Integrate and onboard acquired operations onto Genesis systems and standards, building a repeatable playbook
• Raise the standard for organization, barcoding, tracking, and inventory accuracy in warehouses
• Lead and expand the logistics function and managed fleet beyond Elkhart

Requirements

• Significant manufacturing leadership experience, including running a plant and leading operational excellence or operations across multiple sites
• A track record of turnarounds, launches, or integrations with measurable and lasting results
• Deep experience in high-mix, customer-driven manufacturing where demand and specs change often, viewing variability as a design problem
• Hands-on fluency with continuous improvement, quality systems, and safety leadership, applied practically
• Real digital fluency: connecting physical process changes to software changes, writing clear requirements, and driving adoption of new tools by floor teams
• Experience with custom or homegrown systems is a plus
• Experience in warehouse, material flow, or logistics is a strong plus
